The challenge

Mash asked to create a motif that would celebrate the important work of the Citizens Advice and be flexible enough to be interpreted on a range of printed materials, branded merchandise and multiple publications. As well as being visually striking, it all had to be done within the organisation’s strict brand guidelines.

Our approach

Mash created a colourful tree as an optimistic symbol of growth and achievement. The owl is a reference to the original owl used in the 1940s version of the Citizens Advice logo. The strong graphic approach offered a flexible device which could adapt across various media.
