Client feedback

“I very much enjoyed working with Mash and was delighted with the results. They were collaborative, responsive, helpful and engaged. They really understood the particular structure and culture of a set of chambers and how that impacted on what was required from the new website. Most of all they were absolutely first class in terms of design.”
– Catherine Calder, formerly Director of Client Care at Radcliffe Chambers, now at Serjeants’ Inn Chambers

The challenge

Radcliffe inherited an old website after a merger with another Chambers in 2006 which then needed to be updated and made their own. The new site needed to project them as a first class set with a focus on excellent client care. They wanted to find a way to communicate directly with their audience in an engaging way.

Our approach to Radcliffe Chambers legal website design

The set was particularly well represented in the directories, and these quotes offered the inspiration for the visual approach to the website. Words from the quotes were superimposed onto photographs from the Inns and surrounding areas. The effect was striking and created a library of images that is bespoke to Radcliffe. These have since been used on leaflets, creating a strong tie-in between the digital and printed marketing communications.

The results

The new website was a highly effective marketing tool; it was well received by clients and traffic increased significantly.

The design was rolled out to other marketing materials and the following year Radcliffe Chambers was ranked for the first time in the top 25 barristers’ sets by Chambers & Partners as well as being one of a handful of sets ranked for client care. Work done figures have risen substantially in the two years since the introduction of the new site.
